.The weather bureau says ex-tropical Cyclone Olga may re-intensify into a cyclone when it reaches the Gulf of Carpentaria.
Olga is expected to move inland from the north Queensland coast, after weakening and losing its structure as it approached Port Douglas from the ocean. .
"It will try to spin up again but it may be short-lived, because its path at that stage will probably result in it crossing land again towards the Northern Territory side," he said.

.Cyclone Olga has crossed the far north Queensland coast and the weather bureau says the main danger has passed.
The cyclone crossed close to Cape Tribulation and is breaking up as it moves across land.
"It's pretty well passed apart from the rainfall we don't expect the winds to be up around the 100 kilometres an hour for much longer they should start easing off," he said.

It follows an alarming increase in the number of laser pointers seized in the past six months. .
Nearly 6,000 lasers were seized by customs and border protection officers, compared to just over 6,500 in the entire previous financial year.

.Melbourne Homicide detectives hope information gleaned from retracing the last movements of a slain Indian man will lead them to his killer.
Nitin Garg, 21, died after being stabbed in a Yarraville park three weeks ago.
Yesterday police set up an information caravan and last night they re-enacted his movements to try to jog people's memories.

The Federal Government and the Education Union are at odds over the merit of a website to be launched this week which gives schools a "disadvantage" rating.
